Archaeological Film Festival

Today, between 10am-12:30pm local Italian time, “The Resurrection Tomb Mystery” will be screened in the Museo Civico di Rovereto as part of their annual Archaeological Film Festival.

The film will be screened as part of a special selection for students of history and archaeology at the 24th annual Archaeological Film Festival in the beautiful town of Rovereto, Italy, about an hour’s drive north of Verona. The festival is open to any film in the fields of archaeological, historical, palethnological and anthropological research and to any documentary aimed at preserving and valuing our cultural heritage. This year, a special section will include films on ancient civilizations which thrived in modern day Iran. The festival is run in conjunction with the magazine Archeologia Viva. The “Finestra per le scuole” opens the five day festival, and “The Resurrection Tomb Mystery” is up for a special audience award. It’s already rewarding to see that the film’s thesis i.e., that the archaeological evidence is overwhelming that the Jesus Family Tomb has been discovered in Talpiot, Jerusalem is being taught to the next generation of archaeologists. Wish us luck on the audience award.
