Birds of Paradise
According to the Torah, the Ark of the Covenant – where Moses placed the Ten Commandments – had a cover and on the cover were two “cherubim”. There are two Jewish traditions concerning the cherubim. It is agreed that they were male and female and that they faced each other with wings spread over the cover. Some say they had angel faces, others say they were birds. In my documentary “The Exodus Decoded” I point to an archaeological artifact that – I think – demonstrates that they were birds. Here is a 4 and a half minute video that inspires awe. It’s not about archaeology, it’s about magical birds.
