We deal with a lot of archeology on my blog. As most of you know, archeology is mostly attested to by ancient pieces of ceramics. But today I’m not writing about ancient vessels. Rather, I want to talk about modern vessels, made in Israel, that preserve the spirit of the place. The artist is my wife, Nicole.

Nicole is an accomplished ceramicist, who studied at the University of Colorado at Boulder and at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University (NSCAD). For some 20 years, she’s put her art on the back burner as she raised our 5 children. Now that the kids are spreading their wings, my wife is back in her studio!

She’s been working night and day on her ceramics and her very first coming out party is tomorrow, between 17:00 and 20:00, on our doorstep. At the show, people will see her newest work. Lucky ones will even be able to take home some pieces.

Happy will be those who walk away with a Nicole original for the day after tomorrow they will no longer be able to afford one.
