True Grit!

This morning I listened to a speech delivered yesterday by Senator Robert Menendez (D – New Jersey) explaining why he is going to vote against the Iran deal in the congressional vote to be held in September. I was deeply moved by his candor, clear-thinking and moral courage. There were no ad hominem arguments and no attempts to spin his words for political favor. Instead, the former chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, rose above party politics and delivered a speech that for me is on a par with Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have A Dream” oration. I live in Israel and to hear this man speak so rationally and clearly…so forcefully and bravely…while the Iranian clerics threaten my children, my wife, my countrymen and country with nuclear annihilation is deeply moving.
